Happy Birthday Julia Child!

Well really it was on Wednesday, to be fair.
Painted my door!
Lessons I have learned from this project:
- Never ever ever use red paint for this kind of thing. Walls, doors. Generally anything you want to look nice.
- Maybe use a lighter pencil? One that won't show through the paint that you have no way to erase?
- Just buy new foam brushes. Don't use the ones you just washed so the water makes the RED PAINT drip everywhere on the white door. Nope, it's not coming off.

So that happened today in the 90 degree weather. This is probably the worst week to paint an apartment; just sayin'.

Painting Painting

I am moving to my new apartment over the next couple of weeks, and one of the neat little things about it is the bathroom door. Since it's so close to the front door, the bathroom has a sliding door instead of a regular one. So I've decided to paint a mural!
Or a poster ish thing.
Inspired by pinterest! Which has so many crafts that are so interesting, but are probably not as easy as they make it seem. whoever "they" are. Perhaps an elite squad of bored people that are exceptionally crafty.
So here is the "inspiration" which is obviously much prettier then mine, but we'll see.

Uh yeah I regret posting both of those now. We shall see when the door is painted and dry! I have red paint i want to use, so i was thinking I would paint a border, but now im not sure. Maybe I'll just leave it white... I'm sure I could copy the first color palate exactly, but I don't know if i want to... Decision decisions.

GIRLS

Big fan of this show man. It's everything that Sex in The City was not, along with all of the good things it was. Funny, dirty and has quotes that make you go "yeahhhhh, I'm ashamed I also think that way."

I was too hyped up to draw anything interesting today. I get a night off and I don't know what to do with myself. I'm so broke I can't buy anything to make a painting with, which is what I REALLY want to do. I almost convinced myself to go running and then it was dark outside and maybe a bad idea. So I watched an episode of GIRLS. I'm trying to ration myself because 10 episodes! That's it!
