5-Hour Comics Day
April 14th
The challenge: create a 5-page comic in 5 hours. Bring your laptop or use our basic art- making materials, and test your creativity and speed. Based on Scott McCloud’s infamous 24- Hour Comics Day challenge. Comics newbie? The day begins with a crash course in comics making!
Date: April 14th, Saturday
Time: 11am-4pm / Crash Course: 11am-noon
Location: Henry Art Gallery, Education Studio and Morning Serial exhibition gallery.
Free.
Basic arts materials provided. Feel free to bring your own to use and share!


Morning Cereal at Morning Serial:
May 5th
Start your day with cereal, coffee and comics! Join fellow comics fans on the morning of Free Comic Book Day for a relaxed breakfast before you venture out to the U-District’s comic shops.
Date: May 5th, Saturday
Time: 11am-1pm
Location: Henry Art Gallery sculpture court. (Inclement weather: Education Studio.)
Cereal provided, coffee available for purchase at the museum café.
